Happy mature woman smiling confidently, modern dentures restore your smile

What is Dentures?

If you've lost teeth, whether one, several or all, modern dentures restore your ability to eat, speak and smile with confidence. Today's dentures are lighter, more natural-looking and more comfortable than older generations of dentures.

At Port Colborne Family Dentistry, we make full dentures (replacing all teeth in an arch), partial dentures (replacing several teeth), and implant-supported dentures (clipped to dental implants for a much more secure fit).

Good news for seniors: dentures are covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan for eligible patients. We direct-bill Sun Life so the process is straightforward.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

1

Consultation & impressions

We assess your gums and remaining teeth, discuss options, and take impressions or a 3D scan.

2

Try-in & fitting

You try a wax model so we can adjust the shape, colour and bite before the final dentures are made.

3

Final delivery & adjustments

We fit your final dentures and make small adjustments over the next few weeks as you get used to them.

Why It Matters

  • Eat and speak confidently
Properly fitted dentures restore most of your natural chewing and speaking ability.
  • Natural-looking smile
Modern materials and custom shading make today's dentures look remarkably natural.
  • Implant-supported option
If your dentures slip, anchoring them to 2–4 implants gives a dramatically more secure fit.
  • Maintenance support
We do relines, repairs and adjustments as your mouth changes over time.

Who It's For

  • Patients missing all teeth in the upper or lower arch (full dentures)
